This site is dedicated to mostly Xp Professional x64 and some to Xp32.  Because a lot of us still use these programs and we aren't ready to give them up yet.  So don't ask us to!  If you know something that you think would help solve other user's problems with these OS's you should probably share the knowledge on the blog here.

About me.  I work as a tech in Austin, Texas and I'm constantly fixing issues relating to these older OS's and find myself having to look all over the web for the same solutions again and again.  So I thought I'd just put some of my favorites up on a site so that you or I wouldn't have to re-search for them when needed.  I still have customers that ask to have their machines downgraded to Xp Pro because they prefer it and it works better for what they are doing.  Yes, I have a machine with Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit, but I also have dual boot laptops with Xp Pro and Xp Pro x64 and my Dual Quad Core Xeon video editing machine still has Xp Pro x64 and it is my OS of choice.  So you'll find opinions here and hopefully help in solving your issues.  If you don't find it here.  I'm sorry--keep looking.  And if you find it let me know and I'll put it up here so others won't have to look so hard.  Also if there's something you're looking for but can't find put a request in for it and maybe someone will come up with it.  I'd still like to see a real smooth working hack to running Itunes 10.4.1 on Xp 64 I've found some for earlier versions and I've put them on the site but they are more difficult to get working and take a lot of steps.  Also a hack to get Explorer 9 working on Xp and Xp 64 would be nice too.  While we're wishing how about Service Pack 3 for Xp x64, I've heard it exists, but I've never seen it.

A little bit of History is in order there were two versions of XP 64 Bit based on the itanium one was released in October 2001 and an Xp 64 Bit based on Windows Server 2003 released in March of 2003.  Then there is the edition that most of us use which is the Windows Xp Professional x64 Edition this was realeased in April of 2005.  Made for use with the Amd Opteron's and Athlon 64 chips and intel Pentium 4's.  The problem for users with all these releases was the lack of drivers to support it.  You could have a machine with a 64 Bit processor, but you couldn't get the video or the network card or the sound or the usb to work correctly.  No Drivers.  This wasn't all Microsoft's fault, there was a lack of support by the device manufacturers who were more interested in Xp Pro the 32 Bit version which was still dominating the marketplace.

So Xp Professional x64 languished and didn't get the kind of market penetration it deserved.  Then Microsoft released Vista with a 64 Bit version as well and this time they got the manufacturers on board and the drivers were available for it.  Surprisingly most of these drivers would also work for Xp Professional x64 Edition, however by this time Microsoft was selling Vista and didn't care about Xp or Xp 64 at this point.  So Xp Professional x64 Edition became the "Red Headed Stepchild" to Microsoft (Apologies to Stepchildren with Red Hair) and it became the best Operating System that no one wanted.  Except for a bunch of gearheads.  It is blazing fast in anything you want to do with it, it'll recognize 128 Gigabytes of memory and 8 Terabytes of virtual memory.  The last known Service Pack for Server 2003 and Xp Pro x64 was Service Pack 2 released in March of 2007, unless you know of another one.  There are rumors of a Xp x64 Service Pack 3 but I've never seen it if you know where it is send me a link.

Finally I will put links to topics I think might interest you in trying to support your own systems and if anyone I've linked to doesn't want their site linked let me know and I'll remove it.  I will also post your request for removal on the site under the Other Stuff page so users can see who does and who doesn't want to support the users of their products and software.  I've found that some of the links I have no longer work so I'll credit them with the original link and put a pdf file of the page when it did work.

The domain name is one I've had for a while I planned on doing a Sales site for some various products so I thought I'd just use it.  The links I put to sites that are selling stuff are the ones I use and I'm just giving you a place to buy the same things I use all the time.  If you know of a cheaper better place to get it, use it and let me know about it.  My contact information is on the Other Stuff page.  I have a life so don't expect fast response, but eventually I will get to it.  Please don't ask me a bunch of questions on how to do stuff that's not already on the site you can ask those on the blog or go to some of the sites I've put links to.  Everything I've put here is for those who can understand the instructions, I tried to make it as understandable as possible,  and I've explained it to the best of my ability already.
